How to refer someone else
We’re here to help, just follow these simple steps to help someone start their path to recovery
Step 1
Encourage the person to call the NHS 111 option service. You can call on their behalf but they will need to give their consent to get support.
Step 2
They’ll speak to a qualified clinician who will assess their needs
Step 3
If they and the clinician agree that REST is for them, they will be referred to REST
Once someone has been referred to REST we’ll support them to work towards their recovery.
This could include ways to keep themselves safe and a support package that feels right for them.
How to refer someone
If the person is currently receiving care from a mental health professional, they can ask to be referred directly via the professional referral form.
If they aren’t, you can encourage the person to call NHS 111 option 2 service. You can call on their behalf but they’ll need to give their consent to get support. They’ll be assessed by a qualified clinician who will help them get the support they need.
