Meet our Peer Support and Recovery Workers
What they do and how they can support you
Peer Support Workers
If you’re struggling with your mental health, it might sometimes feel like nobody understands what you’re going through.
That’s where our Peer Support Workers come in. Every one of our Peer Support Workers has had direct personal experience of mental health problems and recovery. This means they can offer empathy and understanding to people who have been referred to REST for support.
They can help you to make sense of your mental health difficulties, move through some of the feelings of guilt and shame, and offer a living example of the recovery that might be possible.
Recovery Workers
At REST you’ll also be supported by Recovery Workers, who will help you to plan your recovery and support you as you take concrete steps to make it a reality.
